Rosa Luis Marquez (Puerto Rico-Ecuador) is an actress, director, teacher and playwright associated with performance and plastic arts. At FITLA 2003 she will present Donde el Viento Hace Buñuelos by Arístides Vargas. This show is a collaboration with the group Malayerba that they present every time they coincide at festivals throughout the world.
“El enano de la botella” (The Dwarf in the Bottle)

Productions Nabi (USA) from Miami, brings to FITLA 2003 the one-person show El Enano en la Botella (The Dwarf in the Bottle) by Teatro de La Luna from Cuba, performed by Grettel Trujillo. El Enano en la Botella is a monologue of philosophical reflections about life, freedom, friendship and love from the perspective of imprisonment.

“Lifting” is a performance that cross-pollinates a world at war and the fear of aging. In this context, the piece addresses a spiritual void while alluding to the rigors of plastic surgery in a Chaplinesque physical language. “Blanche” is a touching yet surprisingly humorous dance piece and also it is a skillfully and precisely choreographed blend of politics and art. Marianela Boan is most widely known Cuban avant-garde choreographer. She has created choreography pieces for stage, film and many different dance companies.

Ray Campi, known around the world for his authentic brand of "roots music", joins the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade as its 2003 Grand Marshal. This silly and uplifting parade features everything from business people in a briefcase drill team to amazing costumes and entertainment.
